The anti-tank mine has an arming delay device formed by a clock mechanism with free escapement started by rotating or sliding an arming button. The button controls movement of a mechanical component (28), whose presence prevents operation of the mine igniter (26). This movement takes place during a predetermined period corresponding to the delay in arming desired. The component finally reaches a position where it forms no obstacle to igniter operation. Actuation of the button can be arranged to stretch or compress an elastic component, the stored energy being used to drive the clock mechanism.
