Purificn. of brine water using amphoteric ion exchange resin - contg. acrylic!-methacrylic! acid (deriv.) polymer and polymer of styrene! amine deriv., tri:allylamine or propyl-di: allylamine
Purificn. of brine water using amphoteric ion exchange resin - contg. acrylic!-methacrylic! acid (deriv.) polymer and polymer of styrene! amine deriv., tri:allylamine or propyl-di: allylamine
A process for purifying brine using a deionising step is claimed in which the brine water contg. bicarbonate ion and bisulphite ion and having a pH of 0.5-1.5 is treated with an amphoteric ion exchange resin contg. a weak acidic, higher mol material and a weak basic, higher hol material and thereby, the purified brine water is obtd. The weak acidic, higher mol material is chosen from a polymer of ethylenic unsatd. carboxylic acid or its polymer deriv. comprising a polymer of (meth)acrylic acid. The weak basic, higher mol material is chosen from a polymer of aromatic amine or aliphatic amine, comprising a polymer of amine deriv. of styrene, a polymer of triallylamine and a polymer of propyl-diallyl. amine. The process is used for producing a purified water contg. NaCl for industrial use.
