Control for aircraft air supply compressor - uses airflow gauge with by=pass valve setting actuator for inlet guide vanes

The compressor with variable inlet guide vanes can be controlled by a mass airflow gauge. A bypass valve (21) records the compressor (16) output. An actuator (36) for setting also sets the compressor inlet guide vanes (18). A sensor (51) produces signals indicating the guide vane setting (18). An electronic control (47) processes the sensor signals and those from the gauge, producing in turn a control output signal for the actuator and for adjustment of the gauge and inlet guide vanes dependent upon the compressor mass airflow output.
