A composite panel comprises two facing layers 1 e.g. of aluminium and at least one core layer 3 having a shear modulus G of 0.01 to 0.5 N/MM2, e.g. a foamed polyurethane, optionally bonded by adhesive 2, e.g. a polyurethane or epoxy resin.
