Universal handbrake valve for air brakes - has reversible control cam to select direct control or indirect control

The universal handbrake control valve for air brakes has a control cam (7) in the top of the valve to operate on the brake control elements. The cam can be turned through 180 degrees so that its control is changed from direct- to indirect mode. The whole of the top of the housing (1) is swung through 180 degrees to change the mode of operation. The brake control can be fitted to utility vehicles for use in different circumstances and with different trailers. No complex re-adjustment of the brake control is required.
