Installation to deodorise manure etc. by fermentation - which generates fuel gap as manure is converted to agricultural fertiliser

An installation for converting malodorous organic waste into an inoffensive agricultural fertiliser by fermentation which simultaneously generates a fuel gas. Comprises a disintegrating pump which supplies liq. waste to an aerobic prefermentation vessel. The prefermented waste is transferred to each in succession of two, anaerobic fermenting vessels in series. The installation also comprises a gas holder and an additive dosing system. Heat generated by fermentation in the prefermenting vessel is pref. recuperated by a heat exchanger coil buried in the waste. The installation has the dual purposes of converting organic waste, partic. poultry droppings and pig manure, to fertiliser as the fermentation supplies fuel gas.
