The pulse generator has two oppositely-poled bar magnets (4, 5) embedded eccentrically in a rotor (1). The rotor rotates inside a stator containing Wiegand wires (11) parallel to the bar magnets, which are, in turn, parallel to the rotor's axis of rotation. A coil (12) encloses the stator. The polarity of the pulses induced in the coil as a result of the rotor's rotation depend on the direction in which the rotor rotates. The polarisation direction of the Wiegand wires changes when the magnetic field strength exceeds a given value. The bar magnets may be in or outside the stator and the Wiegand wires in the rotor.
