The double-glazing assembly comprises a rigid glazing panel (5) containing glass panes (6) which are smaller than the existing pane (2). The panel consists of sections (7) each containing a groove (8) which receives the pane and a flat portion (9) which defines the air-gap between the new and existing panes. The panel carries a peripheral seal (20) which bears onto the existing pane and is held in position by a finishing strip (10) one edge of which locates into the sections and the other edge of which is secured to the existing frame (1) e.g. by screws (23).
