Electronic neurological electrical signal analyser - stores responses to stimulation to obtain product of optimised signals of each channel to obtain maximas between each minima pair
Two electrodes are applied to adjacent points on a scalp in the sensory activity area. The low level signals are amplified and filtered. An A/D converter and sampling circuit provides digital values at equal time instances after each stimulus. A memory, stores digital signal values which occur in large numbers separated by short time intervals. The values at corresponding time intervals after each stimulus are summed to improve the signal to noise ratio. The digital values are optimised and passed to D/A converters for each channel. The two analogue signals are multiplied together and applied to a maximum and minimum detector. The resultant output is divided into sections defined by minimum values, the maximum values in each section are determined and displayed for analysis.
