Press for punching holes in sheet metal - uses jack driving punches in upper turret w.r.t. dies in lower turret with dies being demountable

The press uses a vertical jack to punch holes in sheet metal by displacing punches mounted in an upper turret relative to dies (7) mounted in a lower turret (3), jack forces being transmitted to the substructure (10) by a block (9) sited under the lower turret. Each die is located by a demountable holder (11) set in a drilled hole (12) and held in position by a retractable sprung (21) slide (15). When retracted the slide clears the hole and is pushed towward the centre of the hole by the spring being secured by an 'L' section support (18) whilst guided by a stud (24) located by a slot hole (25). Shouldered bolts (19) with spring washers (20) secure the support and push it upwards.
