Material with high mechanical and heat resistance comprises a hardened epoxy resin base in which is embedded a fibrous reinforcement and a hardened polyurethane resin layer overlaying the base, the epoxy resin and the PV layer being bonded to each other by internal chemical bonds between the two resins. Pref. the reinforcement comprises glass fibres, C fibres or synthetic fibres in the form of continuous strands or woven reinforcements. Used for the prodn. of automobile vehicle parts, e.g. bodywork.
