Regulated power supply for microwave transistor circuits - has regulators in form of current sources, connected to decoder circuit which controls nominal current drain by load circuits
Two DC power supplies provide positive output voltages while a switching regulator provides a negative output voltage. The two positive voltage power supplies provide regulated voltages for three regulator circuits which supply the amplifier and mixer stages in a microwave receiver through inverters and current to voltage converters. One DC supply also supplies a current generator supplying an external calibrated resistance. One positive power supply provides a reference voltage for two other regulators supplied from the power input terminal. These regulators power two UHF amplifier stages. The regulators are connected in parallel to a decoder driven from a counter which receives pulses on its input. This circuit controls the nominal drain or collector current for transistors in the load circuits. The circuit may be used to supply power to a TV tuner receiving satellite broadcasts.
