The arrangement includes an integrator circuit to accept the comparator output representing the system error and to control the opening and closing of the control valve on the turbine input. The error signal is amplified when its magnitude exceeds high and low thresholds about the zero value. The upper and lower thresholds are variable as a decreasing function of the magnitude of the instantaneous acceleration of the turbine. The thresholds can also be varied as an increasing function of the speed of the turbine and as a decreasing function of the derivative of the pressure at the input to the turbine.
