The frame for doors or windows comprises seals of elastic material (8-10) positioned between the uprights and sill (1) of the frame which block the lateral openings (71-73) of channels (2,3,4) contained within the sill. The seals (8-10) have moulded bodies, the cross-section of which are smaller than the channel openings at one end and are larger than the channel openings at the other end. On assembly of the frames, the seals wedge into the channel openings to prevent condensate leaking out of the frame. The seals carry peripheral ribs which assist retention in the channel openings.
