Holder for inverted oval tube with round stopper - allows tube being filled to be aligned on turntable and guided through a funnel with circular bottom

The holder (8) locates an oval section tube (1) with a round section stopper (3) on a turntable e.g. feeding it to filling and sealing posts. The tube is supple and may be about to be filled with toothpaste. At least part of the stopper has a round section centred on the longitudinal axis of the tube. The holder presents a cavity with a conical upper part (9) and a round section bottom part (11), being approximately vertical. The dia. of the zone (12) which makes contact with the tube is not less than the major tube dia., the arrangement allowing the tube to be rotated and aligned in prepn. for sealing. The holder may be fed by a pivoting arm taking tubes one by one from a nominally sloping shoot and a shoulder (13) may be used to locate the stopper.
