The invention refers to an arrangement for the recovery of heat which can be used in plants for the synthesis of dissolved hydrochloric acid and which at the same time produces steam. Such plants generally comprise a furnace, a heat exchanger, a cooled absorber and an after-runnings column. The invention concerns an arrangement having means for bringing together the amounts of heat of the cooling fluids from the heat-exchanger and the absorber, whereby the production of steam is possible.
