The switches comprise identical insulating cases (11) carrying identical external terminals (17,18), and a pivot (12) carrying a series of separate switch operating arms (13) having carriers for cartridge fuses (24) of differing dimensions and having conductive end caps (14). The operating arms (13) of each switch can oscillate on the pivot (12) between the closed position where the fuse end caps engage in contact forks (15,16) forming part of the phase circuit, and an open position making no electrical contact and allowing access to the cartridge fuse (24) from the exterior of the case. Different contact fork mountings (15,16) result in the positioning of the contact forks within the case being different for different fuse sizes, with the position of the external contacts (17,18) remaining fixed.
