Specific electrode having a solid membrane, selective to fluoride ions, comprising an insulating body provided with an opening, a membrane closing off the said opening in a leaktight manner with the aid of suitable leaktight fixing means, and means 18, 19 for electrically connecting the internal face of the membrane to an output conductor extending to the exterior of the said body which it traverses via a suitable passage orifice, characterised in that the said membrane 17 consists of a fluorinated glass which has the properties of being an ionic conductor and of being virtually insoluble in water.
