Method of autoallocation of broad band digital data transmission channel, by multiple time paths, for a time switching network in which the couplers of the transceiver equipment are connected to the switch by bus links over which the transmissions are performed by way of time-division multiplexed autodirector words. Each request for allocation of a broad band channel by a coupler entails a check of availability of the desired channel by verifying the presence of an availability code in the tag of at least the first received path of the said channel. In the event of availability, a marking of seizure by tag modification is performed by the requesting coupler in a path of the said channel which is specifically assigned to this requesting coupler as a service path. The first marking of seizure appearing in chronological order in one of the service paths individually assigned to the various couplers reserves the channel for the corresponding coupler. The invention relates to time switching networks having available high throughput link possibilities.
