The invention relates to an animated mannequin. In this animated mannequin formed by a substrate 24 constituting the simulated head of an individual and by motor elements 10, 16, serving to modify a simulated skin 22 situated over a part of the substrate, the motor elements are tubes which can be dilated and contracted along their length under the influence of a variation in the fluid which they contain, the said tubes being in contact and fixed to the skin 22 without being visible from the outside and following the contours of the skin, and a selective modification of the pressure in some of the tubes brings about changes in the skin, simulating facial expressions of a face.
