Apparatus for measuring inclinations of mobile load lifting machines, comprising an inclination measuring instrument which determines the total inclination, independently of the position of the equipment relative to the surface where it is standing, and processes the total inclination in a means for limiting load moment, so that it can be read in a measuring instrument, the apparatus comprising electronic pendulum inclinometers 10 which can be deflected by gravity and which are arranged perpendicular to one another, the measuring instruments 10 having weighted pendulums 2, and generating measuring signals by varying a resistance, capacitance or inductance, these signals being passed via transmitters to a processing unit for ascertaining the total inclination.
