DIAMOND SAW FOR CUTTING STONE AND THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To aim at reducing the weight and dispensing with the use of wide steel plate materials, by connecting an outer wheel, on which diamond abrasive- grain sintered tips are directly stuck to a center hub part with platelike spokes being radially installed. CONSTITUTION:An outer wheel 2 on which tips 1 made up of sintered diamond abrasive grains via a bonding agent are stuck and hub 5 located at the central part of a diamond saw are connectd to each other with platelike spokes 3 in a way that an inner end part 6 and an outer end part 8 are set fast to the hub 5 and a tonguelkie part 7 of the internal circumference of the outer wheel 2, respectively. In addition, the outer wheel 2 is formed in an annular body by successively binding 9 sectoral plates. What is more, the peripheral part of an outer wheel 2'' is provided with slots 13 which absorb the stress caused by outer wheel's thermal expansion which is produced by frictional heating at the time of cutting. Doing like this, not only the weight can be reduced but the use of wide steel plate materials is not required.
