PURPOSE:To smooth the ejection of central jets and to improve the rationality and speed of melt spraying work, by spraying the central jet air along the center line and the jet air on both sides from both outer sides toward the intersected point of two pieces of flat square filler wires assuming a prescribed angle of intersection where arcs are sprayed in contact therewith. CONSTITUTION:The flat square filler wires (c), (d) introduced obliquely so as to face each other through both introducing guides 3 are guided respectively in the directions of both wire guards 2 by means of driving rolls 4 and driven rolls 5 which are provided to face each other. In succession, the wires pass through both end tips 12 to assume 30 deg. angle alpha of intersection. The forward ends of the wires (c), (d) are delivered out through tip ports 11, and when the ends are brought just in front of the outside of the ports 11, the ends that are in contact with each other at the intersected point O are melted, and in succession arcs are generated between the ends. In parallel with this generation, molten metallic particle (e) groups are sprayed to the object to be treated by the jet air blown out simultaneously from a central air nozzle 13 and air nozzles 14, 16 on both outer sides. Thus, the peripheries of the point O are evacuated by the jets on both outer sides and the forward ejection along the axial line P' of the central jet is accomplished smoothly.
