POLYESTER FILAMENTS HAVING EFFECT OF TWO-STRIPED GREEN BUPRESTID

PURPOSE:The titled filaments having a specific conjugation ratio, flatness degree, and effects of a two-striped green buprestid, consisting of two kinds of polyesters having different dyeability, having a crosssectional shape wherein one polyester is placed in a flat central part and the other is positioned in both the round end parts. CONSTITUTION:Two kinds of polyesters A and B having different dyeability are spun from a slit type nozzle and oriented, to give the desired flat conjugated filaments wherein the component A is placed in a flat central part and the component B is positioned in both the round end parts, a conjugation ratio of the two components (A/B) of 1/3=A/B=3/1, a flatness degree (length l in the major axis/ length w of central part in the minor axis) of 4=l/w=12, number of crimp per inch C of 0=C=5, and the length d of the component A of 20mu=d=50mu. EFFECT:The color of the component B is seen from the direction P(theta25 deg.), and the color of the component A is seen well from the direction H, to provide the polyester with two-tone.
