DECOKING METHOD FOR PIPINGS THROUGH WHICH CRUDE COKE OVEN GAS PASSES

PURPOSE:A combustion gas is fed, until deposit carbon starts combusting, and, after the start, the combustion exhaustion gas is used to burn the deposit carbon, thus effecting efficient decoking. CONSTITUTION:At first, in the combustion furnace 15, a fuel 16 and air 17 are used to form a combustion gas at a temperature above 500 deg.C, containing more than 10% oxygen, and the gas is sent through piping 18 into the high-temperature gas-collecting pipe 4. The combustion gas is made to flow on both upper and lower flow sides of the high-temperature gas collecting pipe 4 and exhausted from the valve 19 and outlet 20 respectively, while the carbon depositing to the pipes are made to burn out. After the carbon starts burning, the feed of the combustion gas is stopped and a part of exhaustion gas after decoking from the outlet 20 is mixed with air in the branched pipe 22, then sent into the high- temperature gas collecting pipe 4 to burn out the carbon depositing on the high- temperature gas conveying pipes 6 or the like.
