PURPOSE:To save the consumption of thermal energy, by forming a path of a low-temperature liquid and a path of a high-temperature liquid separately in parallel in the housing made of a good heat conductor, and forming a hollow part to which a thermal medium is supplied near the liquid paths. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus is furnished with a box-shaped housing 7 having flanges 8 and 9 at both ends. One flange 8 is furnished with the inlet 10 and the outlet 11 of untreated liquid, and the other flange 9 is furnished with the inlet 12 and the outlet 13 of the sterilized liquid. A low-temperature liquid path 14 through which the untreated liquid flows and a high-temperature liquid path through which the sterilized liquid flows are placed in parallel in zigzag lines in the housing 7. A cavity 17 is formed between the paths parallel to the paths, and the cavity is connected with the inlet pipe 18 and the outlet pipe 19 of a thermal medium. At the start-up of the apparatus, the thermal medium is supplied from the inlet tube 18 to the apparatus.
