PURPOSE:To provide the lead of a propelling pencil or a pencil, giving absolutely nonreflective deep black written mark and having high flexural strength, by using a polyvinyl alcohol resin, a polyvinyl chloride resin and a furan resin in combination with a heat-resistant pigment having black or blue color and titanium oxide. CONSTITUTION:The objective lead of a propelling pencil or pencil can be manufactured by using a polyvinyl alcohol resin, a polyvinyl chloride resin and/or a furan resin in combination with a heat-resistant pigment having black or blue color or a color similar to the above and titanium oxide. EFFECT:The written mark is extremely stable to discoloration in contrast to that of water-based ball point in. It writes smoothly.
