PURPOSE:To generate a work program efficiently in a short time by converting coordinates of respective size values in the work program inputted on the basis of a numeric origin, and driving and controlling a mechanism part. CONSTITUTION:An area for storing coordinate conversion commands is provided in a work program memory 7 and further a coordinate conversion constant memory 6 for storing the distance between numeric origins corresponding to a program origin as a conversion parameter is provided. When a coordinate system conversion command is stored in this memory 7, coordinates of respective size values in the work program inputted on the basis of the numeric origins are converted to size values based upon the program origin with the conversion parameter and the mechanism part 11 is driven and controlled on the basis of the converted size values.
