ELECTRONIC DISPLAY THERMOMETER TO BE USED ALSO AS CLINICAL THERMOMETER

PURPOSE:To obtain a clinical thermometer to be used also as an atomspheric thermometer by dividing a period for measuring body temperature and a period for measuring peripheral temperature, and when the body temperature is not measured, delaying a sampling period of a sensor part. CONSTITUTION:The thermometer is constituted so that gate signals phi1, phi2 from MOS TRs 6, 3, 4 are set about 1/10-1/60Hz at the measurement of the atmospheric temperature, and set to 5-10Hz at the measurement of the body temperature. When a body temperature measuring mode input switch 21 is turned on, a timer 22 is actuated and the output 23 of the timer 22 is turned to HIGH and inputted to a main controller 12, the gate signals phi1, phi2 are set to the body temperature measuring period. When the time is set up to 10min, the timer output 23 is turned to LOW after 10min from the input and the low timer output 23 is inputted to the main controller 12, so that the signals phi1, phi2 are returned to the normal atmospheric temperature measuring period. Thus, the clinical thermometer to be used also as an atmospheric thermometer can be obtained.
