IRON CORE FOR CORE TYPE THREE-PHASE AND THREE-LEG TRANSFORMER

PURPOSE:To make it possible to use same-form steel plates as both the top and bottom yokes and to reduce the total areas of the mating surfaces at the mating place and its vicinities where the yokes and the central leg of a core type three-phase and thee-leg transformer contact each other, by making the central leg of two fitting trapezoides of steel plates, and by making the outer legs which are positioned at the both sides of the central leg, of the combination of steel plates of the same form as the trapezoidal steel plates of the central leg and steel plates of the other form. CONSTITUTION:An outer leg 1 is made of steel plates A of width l1 and steel plates B of width l2 being different from the width l1, which are cut aslant at an angle of about 45 deg. at their both ends and which are combined to form a trapezoid as a whole. The opposite outer leg 1' against the central leg 2 is also the same dimensions as the outer leg 1. The central leg 2 is made of steel plates C1 and B2 having widths of l1 and l2 respectively, which are cut aslant at an angle of about 45 deg. at their both ends and which are combined to form projections at the both ends as a whole. Yokes F1, F2, G1 and G2 which are cut aslant at an angle of about 45 deg. at their both ends respectively, are then inserted in the space defined by the both ends of the outer legs 1 and 1' and central leg 2, and are then held by steel plates E and H.
