PURPOSE:To automatically throw in a chemical agent corresponding to the up and down movement of a liquid level, by providing a floater having a float and a throwing-in means engaged therewith so as to freely move the same upwardly and downwardly corresponding to the liquid level. CONSTITUTION:A floater 10 having a float 10b capable of being moved upwardly and downwardly corresponding to the movement of a liquid level such as a water level 13a is provided and a throwing-in means such as a pusher 12 is engaged with the floater 10 in a freely movable manner. By this mechanism, a chemical agent such as a corrosion inhibitor 11 is automatically thrown into the cooling water system of a cooler corresponding to the movement of the liquid level without using hands. This throwing-in mechanism is safe because an electrical means is not used.
