METHOD OF RESTRAINING INCREASE IN MOISTURE CONTENT IN COAL ACCUMULATED ON YARD

PURPOSE:To restrain an increase in the content of moisture, and as well to make it possible to uniformly sprinkle pulverized coal even in a strong wind condition, by spraying asphalt emulsion containing therein a specific ratio of pulverized coke, onto the surface of coal accumulated on a yard to form a film on the surface of coal. CONSTITUTION:Asphalt emulsion containing therein 1 to 10% pulverized coke is sprayed onto the surface of coal accumulated on a yard so that a film is formed on the surface of the coal. The asphalt emulsion is prepared such that asphalt is pulverized into fine particles and diffused into water, thereby it has high adhesion and as well-tight capability which are instinctive to the asphalt itself. Further, pulverized coke is prepared by pulverizing coke powder into fine particles of less than 200mu particle size, preferably less than 100mu. By adding pulverized coke oil components liquadating from the asphalt in summer time is absorbed so that asphalt may be prevented from softening and melting, as well the lowering of adherence of asphalt in winter time due to solidification of the asphalt may be restrained.
