PURPOSE:To shorten the time to load a ship fully by equipping a transport facility to connect a coal discharge facility with a shipping facility, and thereby transporting the coal from the wagons, by which the coal has been sent into the yard, directly into the ship. CONSTITUTION:Conveyor belts 14, 16 are installed to connect a car dumper with a ship loader, and thereby coal unloaded by the car dumper is sent into the ship directly without a step of placing at the yard. As the capacity of a train is much less than that of a ship, information about ship arrival is acquired in advance, and a train or trains with the same item of cargo as the chip requesting according to the acquired information are put in stand-by at a sidetrack 26 till the ship arrival, and then the train is introduced to the car dumper. Thereby the direct loading can be operated efficiently to ensure a shortened time for loading a ship.
