At one side of the frame is a vertical winding rod tensioned by two spiral springs on its ends. One end of the blind fabric is clamped to the rod and the other end is anchored to a vertical strip with an internal rod. - The strip has wheels of glide blocks at each end which run in upper and lower rails. The strip can be locked to the vertical jamb of the frame when the blind is closed. When the lock is undone, the blind rolls onto the winding rod inside a vertical container which has end covers. The rails have braking systems near the container to slow up the winding rate.
