The beat-up mechanism of a weaving loom comprises a beam carrying a reed. The reed beam is secured to a frame comprising at least two supports which are moved to and fro under the action of cams arranged on the main shaft of the loom. - the members are pref. swivelled to and fro about a pivot shaft carried by the base frame of the loom whilst the shaft carries at least two cams of which one produces the beat-up movement and the other the return of the reed.
