Compsns. contg. the essential metal and trace metal ions needed by cultivated plant crops and livestock animals are based on water soluble complexes formed from salt like ligands derived from hydrolysed ligno-cellulose-hemicellulose type substances oxidized with air and/or oxygen, opt. contg. alkali-metal and/or ammonium ions, and divalent or polyvalent metal-ions e.g. magnesium, calcium, iron, copper, manganese, zinc, cobalt, chromium, titanium vanadium, nickel, molybdenum, and/or boron. The compsns. may contain 0.01-99.0 wt.% of the complexes together with carriers, diluents and/or other known agrochemical additives or livestock feed-salts.
