Small concrete block for training fruit-tree - has spring clip gripping branch and cast into concrete block

The small block of concrete is fixed to the branch of a fruit-tree. It is joined to a spring clip (1), opened by hand, by casting a part (5,6) of the clip into the concrete. The clip can be a clothes peg made of plastics with a protruding portion around which the concrete is cast, or alternatively it can be cast round the end of the spring.
