Pile driving head connecting method - uses transverse beams and floor components, fitted without removing concrete from pile top

To counteract any discrepancies in alignment of piles in a building foundation, when fitting transverse floor support beams, and flooring components, the concrete around the pile head is not removed. A loose collar is fitted over the head leaving space for wedges, to realign the entire construction. Quick setting compound is used to fill any gaps. Alternatively, the head part may have a ribbed configuration, using stop blocks at the bottom of the collar. In a third alternative, a threaded rod forms the connection between pile head and collar. A selection of washers may be used between collar and pile top.
