The fixture is intended for connecting the boom members of a sailing board to the mast. It comprises a coupling consisting of two semi-cylindrical internally lined jaws to grip around the mast. The jaws are hingeably connected at one end and securable via a hinged buckle or the like at the other end. The jaws are externally provided with collars with bores to receive the respective boom members. The lining pref. consists of brake lining material or hard polyurethane, the jaws of stainless steel, light-alloy, or plastic such as glass fibre-reinforced polyester, epoxy resin, ABS or polycarbonate.
