Electrostatic copier using very fine tone powder - develops latent image on drum before transfer to paper which is accommodated in two sizes of cassette (NL 23.10.78)

An electrostatic copier has full facilities for exposing originals, developing the latent image with toner and transferring the image to copy paper. The unit also has facilities for fixing the image on the copy paper. Very fine toner powder is used. The copier comprises exposure scanning facilities (22) for creating an latent image on the drum surface (2) which can be developed (6), transferred to copy paper (at 24) (26) and fixed (28). A drum cleaner (34) is also provided to remove superfluous toner before a second exposure. The copy paper may be used directly from two cassettes.
