A receptacle such as a container or a pallet, intended particularly for air freight, has a frame structure consisting of sections (P1 - P14) connected to each other at the corners (II - VI). Corner joints (E2 - E7) are preferably of plastic and are arranged at each of the corners (II - VI). Arms (A1 - A6) starting from a corner piece (ES2 - ES7) of each corner joint (E2 -E7) engage in corresponding seatings (1) in each of the sections (P1 - P14) extending towards the corner (II - VI) in question.
