After demodulation an 1.f. resonance oscillation, characteristic for each repeater, is filtered out from the address using a band filter and disconnector (FOA FOB). This oscillation is used in the respective repeater to close a switch which closes the loop for fault location. A pulse signal is derived from the resonance oscillation. The pulse signal passes through an isolating component, is rectified and integrated, and the integrated signal is used for the switch operation.
