Bleaching auxiliary compsns. present as granules having dia. 0.2-3 mm, are disclosed for use in or with detergent-and bleaching compsns. The auxiliary compsns. contain, by wt. (a) 50-85 (60-75)% =1 bleaching activator, (A), for per-cpds., (b) 5-25 (5-20)% =1 stabiliser for per-cpds. and (c) 7-30 (10-25)% non-ionic surfactant having m.pt. =35 degrees C. (A) are N-acyl- or O-acyl cpds. or carboxylic acid esters having titre =1.5 ml 0.1 N Na thiosulphate in peracid formation test. (B) are organic phosphonic acids or EDTA or their alkali metal salts. The auxiliary compsns. are pref. used in detergent or washing bleach compsns. contg. =1 detergent or soap, builder salts, a bleaching per-cpd., an activator for per-cpd. and a stabiliser for per-cpd. Both (A) and (B) retain their activity during storage. When added to detergent compsns. the auxiliaries provide sufficient protection against undesired reactions.
