Gas oil is dewaxed at elevated temps. and under hydrogen pressure by contacting with an aluminosilicate zeolite (I) catalyst having an SiO2/Al2O3 ratio of =12, a constraint index of 1-12, and a crystal density of not substantially below 1.6g/cm3, with the added feature that the catalyst contains at least one multivalent transition metal (II) and at least one Gp. VIII noble metal (III), each is quantities of =2 wt. %. Pref. (I) is ZSM-5, (II) is Zn or Cd and (III) is Pt, Pd or Ir, and specifically (II) is Zn and (III) is Pd. Catalyst cycle life is increased, and unusually high yields are obtd.
