Meat grinder with radial blades on cutter - having flat surfaces working together with perforated discharge plate

The cutting- and discharging part of the meat grinder (10) is in a housing (12) with rotating thrust spindle (14). On the discharge end of the machine is a perforated discharge plate (16) kept in place by a threaded ring (18). The spindle is seated on its discharge end in an opening of the discharge plate. The cutter has a hub with a square opening seated on a corresponding end of the spindle and carries a number of radial blades (28) with working surfaces (36) operating with the face (26) of the perforated plate. Each cutter blade has a recessed front edge (30) positioned in a direction away from the face of the plate. This front edge is positioned on a cutting edge (32) provided on each blade over a flat surface (34).
