Lengths of edge strip, for gluing, made of veneered or plastics coated wood workpieces, are delivered to workpieces passing through an edge-gluing machine by a feed appliance with a strip exchanging device, with one or more guideway tracks, for alternately supplying strips. The strip changing device is fitted with a revolving change roller (17) for alternately pushing edge strips forward and/or back as they move in parallel guide tracks (18, 19). It also has a counter pressure roller (22), working in conjunction with this, with peripheral surface periodically in contact with the edge strips, alternately projecting into their guide tracks or leaving it clear.
