Opaque liquid detergent compsn. for cleaning hard surfaces, contains as essential ingredients a water-soluble synthetic anionic sulphated or sulphonated detergent contg. an 8-22C alkyl radical, a water-soluble nonionic detergent contg. alkylene oxide units, a water-soluble salt and water. The anionic/nonionic detergent ratio is from 0:5 to 6:1 and the salt/total detergent ratio is from 1:5 to 5:1. Concentrate for the prepn. of the above comprises 4-12% anionic detergent, 2-8% nonionic detergent, 4-30% salt =4% 8-18C fatty acid and =16% urea. Compsns. have a satisfactory viscosity and low temp. stability. It also has the desired apacity without having special apacifiers included which is both more economic and avoids a foaming tendency.
