A device for releasing liquid pesticide, especially against animal parasites

A dispenser comprises a reservoir (2) which can be attached to an animal and has an extending fibrous wick (3) with diameter less than 3 mm providing the only exit for liquid, and a vent to prevent negative pressures developing in the reservoir. The wick pref. has both its ends projecting from the reservoir, and is of PTFE or glass, a double-ended wick also acting as vent. The reservoir is e.g. a thin sachet of clear plastics, with a separate or integral ear tag, and with an adhesive strip removable, or a lower part (6) of the sachet to be cut away, to expose the wick.
