Files consisting of a number of sheets of paper in a flexible cover of card or thin plastics sheet, are made by fixing the sheets to the spine of the file with staples; sepg. the cover sheet from the adhesive strip and inserting the pile of sheets into the cover; sticking the pile of sheets along the length of the spine; and folding the cover around the fold of the spine.
