ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThe invention relates to a process for recognisingfemales in the course of vitellogensis in oviparous animals ,consisting in detecting th vittelogenin specifically present inthe blood of females, by an immunoagglutination test made on asample of blood serum of the animals. This process allowsa simple, rapid determination of the sex of oviparous animals,particularly fish, well before the appearance of the morpho-logical features usually used for recognising the sexes.
